Plant Controller


Multi-billion parent company in consumer products/Pharma. This is approx. a $300mm operation. Wichita, KS area.

 


Act as lead finance business partner for the operations management team, establishing plant goals, identifying and verifying cost improvement opportunities, linking operational measures, metrics and processes impacting the financials; and driving continuous improvement. Direct the financial planning and forecasting processes, utilizing models and ensuring linkage to operational plans. Responsible for all financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures; and individual and team development.

Skills/Experience Education/CertificationBachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required with a Master’s Degree and or CPA preferred. 7-10 years of extensive background in all areas of manufacturing accounting, specifically in cost, planning and analysis and automated manufacturing systems.  Specific hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant is highly desirable.  Considerable interpersonal contact is required with all levels of management, as well as a variety of people outside the organization.  Therefore, a high degree of human relations skills and effective oral and written communication skills are required.  The incumbent must be results/profit oriented and committed to the attainment of short and long term objectives.

Lancaster Community Hospital (LCH), a full service Community Hospital located just 60 miles outside of Los Angeles, California is presently seeking candidates for a Director of Pharmacy Services position.
 
This is an ideal time to be a part of this growing institution. As Lancaster Community Hospital, in association with its parent company Universal Health Services is projected to open a new facility. Named Palmdale Regional Medical Center, it is located in Palmdale, California, which is 10 miles south of Lancaster.  An adjacent medical office building is also under construction. This new facility (scheduled to open in February of 2010) will be a modern state of the art full service hospital offering services in Advanced Cardiac Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatrics, OB-GYN, Emergency Room Services and General Medicine. They will also strive to achieve Accreditation as a Primary Stroke Center and a Certified Chest Pain Center.
 
Sierra Staffing has been a leader for over 16 years in the area of Health System Pharmacist Recruitment. We have been retained by LCH to identify and evaluate candidates for the Director of Pharmacy position. Initially, the Director of Pharmacy will supervise a staff of approximately 20 FTE’s. With the new facility and expansion of services, additional beds will be added and approvals are already in place for at least 5 FTE’s including two night shift pharmacists and a Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator. The Director of Pharmacy will immediately become involved in the Decentralization of Pharmacy Services and the expansion of Clinical Pharmacy Programs. This is accomplished by increasing the number of physician practices that identify patients at risk for hereditary cancers. The account executive will sell them on the value of genetic testing and educate these physician?s practices to identify high-risk patients, provide adequate patient education which will enable the office to offer cancer risk assessment services on-site. The account executive should spend 85% of his/her time calling on physician offices and 15% of his/her time working with established cancer genetics programs. The account executive will be working with several medical professional specialties, which generally include Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Colo-Rectal Surgeons, Breast Surgeons, General Surgeons and Genetic Specialists.Duties:Implement all sales strategies Sell all products on all calls Target 60 physicians within a 2 week routing cycle Implement all marketing strategies Implement new product marketing when applicable Identify and implement an action plan to drive growth in territory Focus majority of intervention dollars towards action plan docs Must meet expense budget Must meet administrative requirements Able to work independently with strong work ethic Must demonstrate a high level of product knowledge Must be willing to drive to appointments throughout territoryQualifications:BS/BA degree and minimum of two years of medical sales experience or demonstrated success in other sales capacities. Oncology experience and exsisting relationships is a plus.

Qualification Standards, Education, and Work Experience: Bachelor Degree. Emphasis in marketing or sales preferred. 2 years sales experience preferably with long-term care or pharmacy experience. Must demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position. Satisfactory results of a criminal history check, Office of the Inspector General Sanction Check, and satisfactory licensure validations (as applicable). Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Ability to develop clinical knowledge base to support sales activities. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with various disciplines in the health care field.
